Thanked: 3795I've got some stuff I can bring. I think almost all of my smallest brass washers have been domed but I'll see if I can find some others. I've also got the larger size brass ones and both sizes of nickel/silver. I don't think I've used any of them since moving to MN 4 years ago so it won't be a major sacrifice to bring them.

Thanked: 1936Looking like I will make it Saturday. I will bring some pinning stuff. Since I can't bring my grinder (requires 220V-1P), is there anything else you can think of for me to bring Charlie?
Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

Charlie,
Looking forward to coming!!
I'll bring most all of my stone/hones/lapping plates in case you or maybe others would like to try one of them. Pretty good selection.
Regards,

pictures from meet, bluesman7's grinder
Last week if somebody told me they were going to grind a razor with 1/2" x 12" belt, a little bit of trig, and some bondo filler I would have said " Yeah buddy you go ahead and do that" in a sarcastic voice. Now that I have seen Bluesman7's grinder I am impressed with the thinking and performance. I love learning and seeing out of the box thinking. Bluesman7's ideas are ingenious. Here are some pictures of his grinder.

Thanked: 3795I would like to thank Spazola (Charlie) for the amazing opportunity he gave us last week. He set aside his time and made himself and his shop available to us for as long as we wished each day.
I was looking to gain a little experience--just a sense of what it was like to make a razor. I never had used a belt grinder before this visit and my expectations were low. I had no idea that I would be able to leave with a single razor, much less the three that I brought home. Charlie explained, watched, corrected, left me to figure it out, answered all my questions, corrected again, and usually refused to make a decision for me even when I wanted him to do so!
Now, all I want to do is get a grinder and a forge and do more of this.
