It only took me 5 hours to get my razors organized enough to fit into the case I've carried them in at past meetups. There wasn't room for all my French razors, unfortunately, but the coolest ones are in there.
Also, any San Diego area folks who'd like to carpool up, (Redcane!), PM me!-Zak Jarvis. Writer. Artist. Bon vivant.

Thanked: 284Well guys I literally JUST finished pulling moving out of the house. Had to finish today. It's 1:30 already so it looks like I'm too late to head up there. Bummer, I had been looking forward to this for months. Can't wait to hear how it went.
I love living in the past...

Thanked: 1184I told em you were probably doing some heavy lifting :<0) Or maybe I said living in your car ? Either way we missed you.
And thanks again to our great host Marty and his wife. It was fun to meet some new guys and work on the horns. Had a nice time myself :<0)
I was in the smoking section and thought to take a shot.
Not a great shot but you can see we are all busy.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 20Our Welcoming Sign
The guys getting ready
The guys getting ready to be FED!
The guys hard at work
Jerry the Master getting my Filarmonica hair splitting ready
Some of Jerry's amazing collection
A GREAT group of guys...well 'cept for the chunky tired guy in the red flannel!
Todays meet was beyond my wildest dreams. I showed up expecting to sharpen a blade , get a few tips on shaving and go home. The guys there were awesome. Jerry and Marty schooled me on honing and helped me restore some of my great grandfathers blades as well as my own. I was so out of my league with these guys, but everyone was patient and taught me the ropes.
The fellowship and friendship were amazing and the hosts, food and most importantly to me COFFEE were great. Looking forward to the next one. Thank you to all of my new friends.Last edited by TheFiveO; 04-27-2015 at 05:42 AM.

Thanked: 284Man I was even on the welcome sign! But that was my fault, I told Marty I was doing everything I could to come. I'm really bummed I missed it. We've been running like crazy to get moved and I was literally just a few hours late.
Looks like you guys had fun. I love those meets.I love living in the past...

What a fun day!!! I can't say enough about Marty and Mrs. Liz. They are truly wonderful people. On top letting us use their garage, they fed us and made us feel at home. Thank you Marty.
All the members where awesome as well and I was glad to put a face with the Name/handle. I couldn't believe the collections and the amount of razors I got to play with. We kept Marty, Zak and Jerry busy with 1000 questions. I had the pleasure to get some one on one time with Marty and his stones along with mine. No amount of reading could help as much as a couple hours with these guys. Thanks again to Marty as well as the rest of the guys. I can't wait to do it again.
