    Default Fayetteville NC area

Hey all. I'm still new to SR shaving as well as this community and was curious if anyone else was in or near Fayetteville nc that is an old hand at honing as well as SR shaving that might be willing to get together and share/educate a new guy

Try this search. Use "location" and you'll have to try different configurations for the search. i.e. NC or North Carolina, or any other way it might be listed....maybe by City, etc. It searches how a member has entered their location, so be creative. May help, may not

What you could learn in a few hours with an experienced member should easily be worth a few hours on the road. I know members have driven 5 & 6 hours plus one way to a meet-up.

The hands on time is invaluable!! You might give it some thought.

    Regards,

Look to the Triangle meets here on this board. We should have one coming up soon. Just go to that page and request "nipper" to add you to the notification list. From Fayette-Nam it would not be too awful for to Pittsboro. Plus the meet is at a great location, a brewery, that allows the group organizer to have the top private room to ourselves. I found it to be great and they usually have one waitress assigned to us and everyone talks shop; mingles; and shares experience and their collection.

I am new to this as well.....only just over 6 months but talking to Joe & Richard who head this up are like walking encyclopedias of razors!!!!

Great times for sure. Hopefully the next meet is right around the corner!

We should do a Raleigh meet. The guys from Durham and Chapel Hill will probably come over and anyone south or east can come up.

Not sure you would get them for sure due to the Pittsboro area folks are fairly well established but they may. Why not come to an established group rather than start another???? Pittsboro is so close to Raleigh that it is not such a very long drive what so ever.

yeah its not multiple groups - we're all spread out in this region. Pittsboro isnt exactly a central location for people coming from outside the triangle.

Fayetteville to Pittsboro via mapquest: 1 hr. 6 mins.
Raleigh to Pittsboro via mapquest: 40 mins.
Winston-Salem to Pittsboro via mapquest: 1 hr. 12 mins.

Not sure how much further east one would be but those are not bad drive times. But then again, it's all relative.
