LA/ So. Cal, Mini Honing Meet

So, anyone interested in a LA/ So. Cal, Mini Honing Meet in Diamond Bar the weekend of July 9 or 10th?

I know it is short notice, but had some interest, bring your stones and razors or I have plenty of both, to try different stones and learn.

Probably start around 10 or 11 and go till done…

I'm in, I'm a honing newb and could use some experience. Would prefer Sunday but it's up to the group.

Can we bring Scotch or Tequila?

I have no hones but I have a few razors that I would get sharpened and learn how to hone in the process.

Come on down, once we settle on a day, I will PM the address.

Ok guys, looks like we are settling on Sunday 7/10/16 to meet.

Let’s shoot for 10 am in case it is hot. I will pm the address, to all that respond. Typically, we go till the afternoon but, have gone as late as 7PM with a large group. It’s up to you.

Still plenty of room if you want to come, let me know so I have enough seating.

Bring your razors and stones, but if you don’t have either, I have beaters and tons of stone to use and try out, as well as strops and pastes.

Hey Marty, just wanted to send out a big public *THANK YOU* for hosting the mini meet this past weekend. It was very generous of you to open your home to other razor enthusiasts and give your time to teach us. I feel that I learned a ton about honing- especially what to look for and a few problem solving tips.

I showed the Wostenholm you worked on to my father (who gave it to me originally) and he was impressed. I can't wait to put it to the test, probably Wednesday or Thursday.
