I'm not in the right location to attend, but a word mainly to the newer guys.
Its hard to over-sell or say too much good about them. They'd be a very serious boost to the learning curve to get to see, feel, talk w/ experienced guys about the techniques, gear.
I'm grateful to each of the kind guys that have shared so much that got me back to enjoying a shave. 'Hope all have a wonderful time.

Thanks for the address. I believe ive driven by the place a few times. I deliver gas to the loaf n jug on Colorado blvd.
I told the wife about it and shes telling me to go and drop her off at the outlet mall in castlerock in the way. Then pick her up on the way back. This could end-up being an expensive trip!
So count me in. How long do these get togethers last? 3 to 4 hrs? Drinking going on? Food? Im in, just would like a little hint. It's just Sharpening, right?

I've been to two of these now in Denver. People usually start to show up around noon and, yeah, they last 3 or 4 hours, maybe longer. People just stay until they have to leave. We usually chip in and order pizza and, of course, garlic knots to share. Some drink beer, some drink soda. It's very casual but I have learned a lot both times.
I look forward to meeting you.-Doug

Thanks for the heads up Doug. Be glad to meet some folks that enjoy the art of straight shaving. Anyone i know looks at me like im crazy when i tell them. Then they say "why?".
I'll see you there. Planned on bringing my hone and a razor or two. Hoping someone can show me how to do this honing stuff. It's just Sharpening, right?

I just posted on another thread, before seeing this post, that we can play around with this at the meet. This is exactly the type of thing where discussion on a forum can not compare to in person experience.
