Just kidding. Im glad i brought my soaps as it seems others enjoyed the different scents. A friendly bunch of guys and all turned out well. I was there till 6:45 so it was a long time but was fun. Good luck all with smooth shaves and sharp razors.Quote:

I just shaved with the Wester Bros. that I took from bevel set to finish yesterday at the meet. It started off to be a shave test, but it was really nice so I finished up with a 2-pass great shave. This was my first razor taken from e-Bay special to shave ready without anyone else touching it to a stone. What a feeling. Thanks Victor and everybody else for all of the thumbnail tests while I was working on the bevel. You all got ample opportunity to feel what it's like when the bevel ISN'T there yet. :beer1: Cheers to you all.
I used the razor that Victor honed for me this morning. Got a great 2 pass shave from it. No issues at all. I will admit that it felt different from what I normally use. Even my shave ready razors feel different. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the stones he used. I hear that different steel works better with different hones. Not that that is my point. It was shave ready, cut smoothly and no irritation. What else can you ask for!
Now if the two I did last night will treat me as well. Only time will tell. Time to grow whiskers that is. ha.
