I'm having trouble with the upper lip. Difficult to get the correct angle. Would a 4/8 help?

Sense i dont shave my upper lip i can guess that yes a thinner blade would help. But its only a guess.

Only if you have a half inch between your nose and mustache. :rofl2:

No mustache, never could grow one. No hair on top of the head either.
Received the Norton stones, have business this morning, but will begin the sharpening process this afternoon. This is very entertaining. Can't wait.

Don't forget that those nortons will need lapped before using them.

And soak them in water or the water will just get sucked up so fast when honing you will be adding water with every stroke.

Got a business phone call, and there went yesterday... Today is the big day. Also received the 30/60 groXcess Loupe. edges on both the Hart and Dovo are not clean. They need work. Will report in on the day.

Here is a question that I need answered before I proceed with the lapping. I soaked the 220/1000 Norton, but DO I NEED TO SOAK THE NORTON FLATTING STONE? I am the true rookie........

When lapping, i do it in water so not much need for soaking if you under water anyways. Soaking is for honing. Hope that clears it up for you.
