Thread: Looking for a meetup in the North Jersey area

I'm new to SRP and have been using an SR for over a month now. I would like to know if there are any scheduled meetup's in the North Jersey area to meet other members and get some advice. If nothing is scheduled, what does it take to get one started?

I'd be interested. I've been shaving with a SR since December (So about 6 months). That part is going well but my stropping and honing definitely could use some improvement.

Have a new(to me) shave ready razor on its way from the BST here. That should hopefully help me re-calibrate my expectations.

MVCrash used to host some meetings at a spot he had access to in Ft Lee. I'd be game if something happens in the area.

First, someone has to take the bull by the horns and decide on a date and a site. A second person can handle the invites and announcements. Two people working on the meet makes it a lot easier.

One issue with the this list is the alphabet soup used. NY, New York, NYNY can be for the state and the city. Then some make up their own abbreviation. You have to try all possible variations to make sure you are finding everyone. You may get a lot of hits. If the person has not signed on in the last year I would ignore him and work on the ones who are a bit active on the forum.

Not to my knowledge, but I'd still be game for one. I may be able to host one in Westchester come summer...

I would absolutely make the trip to Westchester and help spread the word (assuming there is enough room). If you do host, let me know what help you need.
