How wide is your 15n20 Victor? I will see what I have to match it.
Ha, it's in `6"+ wide sheets over a foot long. I've been ripping it to 1" wide which works well for my purposes. I would be looking for 1" x 1/8" 1095. I've got a note in to Randy to add a piece of that to his order.
I want to try a 13 layer stack, which will save me a drawing and tripling operation.
That works fine, but more often than not I'm working alone. Since I have the thin material a higher layer initial stack makes a lot more sense.
I know you were saying last year to not go over 7 layers when hand setting the welds but I'm pretty confident that this will work for me. Of course I'm only buying 1 piece of 1/8" 1095 until I have verified that it will work.:beer1:
Hey Victor, i have 6' of 1.25 x 1/8 1095. Lets do some welding!
Here are the options for the steel order.
Let me know your preferences please and then I will place the order.
I want to see some consensus/agreement on the thickness of the 15N20. Please no more than 2 thickness.
