The Star Diner I think.
The one across from Mcdonalds is as good of name as any.
Much better than Mcdonalds but that is not saying much in my book.

I heard bacon plants in Burk cut production 20% after hearing Bruno was staying home
I think it is going to be up to the rest of us to keep those fine people employed!

Good read to get ahead...
if i recall randy should have some really nice aircraft grade steel cable. i think i may have given him or maybe ron it. i think it was about 5 or 6 feet. I put in for leave at work and it was approved. Only thing that may stop me is that if I cant get a room. I really would rather not share as i snore super bad lol. but we will see. also just wondering what to bring other than razors. anyone talk about going out for a morning and doing a little shooting.
With my time being limited this trip, I will be just spending time in the shop and not be shooting if it were to happen.
Well, I had rather shoot than work.
If I get there, I would be in. Gots a few I have never fired since I owned them.
Shot them a good bit before acquiring them, however.
My guns are like my razors. Old and in good nick.
Still, Charlie would have to ramrod it and I think it was an opportunity to let a Belgian blow off some steam.
Imagine THAT?
Bruno is not going to be there this time. I bring/brought guns for him to enjoy...shot very little myself.
It’s worth the trip for the social and TCs bbq.
The learning and doing is just icing on the cake.
I WILL BE MAKING IT THIS YEAR. IS THERE ANYONE LOOKING TO SHARE A ROOM OR SET UP AIR BEDS IN THE SHOP, "IF THAT'S POSSIBLE"? ALSO, I'VE BEEN TO THE GET-TO-GETHER ABOUT 3X NOW AND HAVE YET TO COMPLETE A BLADE. DAMN GUYS WITH YOUR SHINE AND FOOD. WOULD SOMEONE CARE TO HELP ME THROUGH ONE THIS YEAR? IT'S WORTH A $1!!!!!! SEE YA'LL THERE. :beer1:
Hey Paco
Really happy you are coming
As will I gladly assist in any way I can.
Glad to make it also. Last year I was just finished my radiation and chemo treatments. I was kind of weak and hurting.
Anyone looking for roommate??

I’m looking for a roomie, Paco. Pm me if you’re interested.
For you new guys ,
All steel, grinding belts, grinders, buffers, bandsaws, drill press, forge, propane, anvil, hammers, tongs, electricity, borax, welder, heat treat ovens, tempering ovens etc will be provided. That is part of what is included in the $10 daily shop fee.
If you have a favorite hammer , tongs etc please bring them with you.
Ok,Looks as if I am set. Thanks to Jfk742 for sharing a room and Victor for the help. Scott thanks also for the offer. I'm leaving this Saturday for a ski trip in Tahoe so I hope I get to se ya'll with both legs still working. :tu
I will bring my high speed grinder we keep by the back door, a few hammers, and tongs. I bring a few other things to weld up too. Oh ya, my 110v wire welder. Gotta make sure i have some flux core wire around. Bottle rent was stacking up so i returned it about a year ago.
I will bring my grinder {if I can get it out of the stack of winter storage...;)} and my forge along with some propane.
We probably don't need another forge but I have some work to do on it and would like some advice/opinions.
Ok, bring it ! Nice clean welds, less grinding.
Some random thoughts about the meet if you have not been before.
It is a chaos of sorts, no plans or organization.
Expectations, Most people will not finish a razor at the meet, only a few have walked away with a finished razor. Hopefully you will have a good time in the shop and learn a lot of concepts, bang hot steel, and grind away.
It is just a bunch of razor geeks hanging out, pitching in, and doing what we can, and trying to be safe and have a good time.
The weather can be crappy, we have lucked out every year with the weather, I hope this year continues the good weather trend.
The shop is not heated so it can get chilly, bring warm clothes and shoes.
and if its chilly i will bring whiskey. by the way who wants me to bring them some Knob Creek 120?
Rezdog, 32T
My car is loaded up now and it includes 2 engravers ball vices, a 3" and a 5" plus a whole bunch of graver's. I will drop those off at Charlies in about 7 days.

I think I will still have some copper practice plates.
Excellent Randy.
I will bring my dork lord visor too.
