Wuertz 2020 Hammer In
I'm attending this March 14-15 2020 in Casa Grande, Arizona. This is a knife maker meet
I went last year and thought it was well worth it. $175 with a limit of 150 tickets. Last year there were more than 150 participants.
*the price is set to increase after 12/31/19
It is not what I think of as a 'hammer in' because there is next to zero 'hands on' for the participants. More of a teach in. The presentations are done very well with expert videographers getting close to the work and displaying on multiple screens in real time. Seeing what is going on at the grinders is as good as it would be if you could be the one person who could get close enough to have that vantage point, and you are still close so you can ask the presenters questions during the presentation. I was very impressed with how well this worked.

The Hammer in was a big success with 120 people attending. Lots of talent there.
My wife and I are taking the long way home from AZ. with the idea of letting the winter storm peter out ahead of us. We went up into UT and then got cut off from the mountain route by the storm and headed back down into AZ.

Be safe brother. I know it wouldn't be the first time you drove in snow.
It's just Sharpening, right?

Lots happened there, but among other things I talked to a couple of people about doing stainless clad San Mai.
We just got home from a great trip. We hiked the bottom of Leprechaun Canyon on St. Patrick's Day! We did it in the evening, racing the sun a bit. If we had arrived at the trail head 1 hour later, we would not have been able to do it at all, as it was stormy the next day and there is no way that you want to be in the canyons with threatening weather.
