    Wonderful
    I got Pfizer
They are setting you and the rest of us up to get an annual vaccine just like the standard flu shot.

I have no problem with that as long as it is one shot for corona and the flu.

It's my understanding that the Flu shot variety varies from year to year so the vaccines are never the same. I would think that we'll end up getting different shots for both.

When I was in boot camp we didn't get combo shots, for example on one day we got the Tetanus shot AND the Typhoid shot on the same day at the same time but in different arms. That in itself is a story of it's own.

I read Israel has said the Pfizer vaccine is no good for the South African variant

I think we have a long way to go on these vaccines

I concur but at least there are vaccines constantly being researched.

I worked with a guy (Steve) who came down with Polio two weeks before the vaccine was released. While he was never in an iron lung, his left arm's bicep was about the size of my forearm by the wrist, his right bicep was about the size of my thigh! He used his left arm to steady boxes then used his right to power it up into place.

He didn't have any patience with anti-vaxers. Another guy who worked with us was marrying a gal who was an anti-vaxer and Steve invited her to his parents home to listen to his mother tell of the agonizing serious of events while he lay on deaths bed.

She declined but never ever mentioned not getting her kids vaccinated again.

Come flu season again, it will most likely be a part of the regular flu shot offered. Remember that c19 is another flu strain.

It is not 'as' complete as for the regular strain, but so far, moderna, pfizer and az protect well enough to be considered good.

I have the meet on my agenda, but whether I make it or not is going to depend on the covid situation and international travel. I expect to get my shots during the summer but of course, that doesn't mean travel will resume immediately in terms of quarantine etc. I guess we'll know more in a couple of months.

EDIT: the travel stuff has me more than a little worried. Last time, airspace was closed 10 days after I left. Had I still been there, I would have been stuck for months.

I am mostly in the same situation as you Bruno. I am presuming that everything works out, however there are still a lot of unknowns at this time.
