I am very interested in helping get another SoCal meet together. Unfortunately, my little apartment is not an option as far as location goes, so unless the stars align and we get a house in the next month or two it would have to be hosted by someone else. I'm more than willing to do most of the planning and such, but I unfortunately can't host. I was thinking sometime mid December, but I realize that's probably bad for most people considering the holidays, so let's hear some ideas. I like December 19th.

meeting
Why not have it at a pizza parlor or sommthing like that . I do not know how many fokes would attend. I have a small place as well but I could hold a few. let me know if I can help.

How about El Pollo Inka? Great Peruvian food. I know their Lawndale location is large and their Hermosa Beach location is small. I've heard the Gardena and Torrance locations are large also.

If it was held at a restaurant would we really be able to do more than just hang out and eat together? Not that that wouldn't be a great time, and I'm in if that's what it ends up being, but I was hoping the setting would be able to foster more SR specific activities like the honing demos from the first meet and such. My wife and I are hoping to own a place by the end of the year, so if that comes through I'll be planning something at our house. If there's enough interest I think we should go ahead and set a date, and as the time gets closer we can figure out specifics of location and activities. If there's not that much interest I'll just drop the whole thing. I suggest sometime around Valentine's day (mid February) as it'll give everyone time to settle down from the holidays. How about either the 13th or the 20th?

Thanks for bringing this thread back to life! I'm in the Thousand Oaks area. Right between LA and Santa Barbara. I'd love to participate. My schedule is flexible. Sounds like fun.
