Get togethers - D.C. edition
This seems to be get together season. Is there any interest in a meet up in the Washington, DC area? I guess more to the point, are there any seasoned str8 shavers around DC who are willing to impart some knowledge? (A bunch of noobs, like myself, sitting around a table drinking beer in awkward silence wouldn't be much different than my average weekend....)

I suppose I might be willing to make the trek, but perhaps meeting somewhere just outside D.C. would make more sense. You know, murders, rapes, theft, drugs, and oh yea, I think possession of a straight gets you 5-10.
Did you know that even Mace has to be registered?Last edited by AFDavis11; 02-12-2008 at 12:28 AM.

Thanked: 44yeah well I am so glad the court struck down the ban and I hope the supreme court upholds the ruling. I would like to not be the only one in town with no gun since I follow the laws when I come and visit. As for going... it depends on when it is and how much it costs to go. I can take the auto train which is a bonus.

Maybe someplace out toward Front Royal would make sense. Let's see if we get any more interest first.

Yea, even Fairfax would be good. I'm just not sure of a location.

I'm game
Fairfax sounds good. If you want to stay away from the Big City, Middleburg is always a possibility. Washinton, VA is a quaint little town--with perhaps the best (and most expensive) restaurant, the Inn at Little Washington, in the extended D.C. area. Old Tow Alexandria is too touristy.
