Thread: WNY meet

Holli4pirating, JoeD, JrJoeD, and CarrieM are hosting a meet on Sat July 18th at JoeD's place east of Rochester. Primary focus of this meet will be on honing, although depending on the wants/needs of the group other things can be covered.

Meet and greet at 11 am
lunch around 12
with honing and other topics to follow.

A few weeks ago the four of us had a honing marathon. We all had a great time and thought it would be fun to do again, but this time open it up to newbies and experienced straight razor users. So, if you have any straights that need honing or touch ups bring them along. If you have hones bring the also. If you don't have a hone, no worry. There will be enough on hand to get the job done. Got a blade that's being a bugger to hone, bring it along.

If you are a newbie this will be a great time to attend. We will address shaving, stropping, brushes, shave soaps and creams and anything else shave related anyone has interest in.

It's about a month away so hit the antique shops, flea markets or even ebay and bring them along.

For those who don't know, the real hosts are great, and it's going to be a great get together. Be sure to come if you can, cause I learn tons of new stuff every time I'm there.

Ok, so far it's just Holli4pairating, JoeD, JrJoeD, myself and another member from Buffalo. Invitation is till open. Anyone else interested in coming on July 18th??

Count me in!! The only thing that might stop me is if I'm not cleared to drive at a Dr. visit on th 15th (he says as he types with one hand)
