What's a good agenda for a get together?
For the experienced: What works? My unorganized thoughts include...meet on a Friday night for ****tails, introductions, chat; good dinner; cigar cordials goodnight;
Sat...midmorning meeting at...a place that sells shave stuff?, visit to place of local/historical significance?, meet in a hotel conf room to swap, demonstrate etc; ball game/event , dinner goodbye?
What makes for a better event?
Thanks. Oh, any plans for a national event?

In some ways I guess it depends on how big the group is that you are getting together. Our get togethers tend to run on the small side 5-8 people total and we get together every couple of months. We usually have some social time and the beginning, followed by show and tell and then we try to focus on one topic. The one we are having this weekend is going to be honing, everyone is bringing a couple of blades that need work and what ever hones they have and will be picking up tecniques and be abble to try out different hones that we may not have. It's a good way to incite HAD, Once you try it you got to have it LOL

the DFW group usually has a lot of food and a lot of drinks, and we show off whatever new gear we have, and people sell gear to eachother, and then sometimes we have a seminal (e.g. john crowley did a honing seminar last time) and we help newbies hone their razors, and a good time is had by all!
sometimes cigars are involved, but gentlemanly conversation always is!
