Yes, but send one a PM.

so suggestions about straight shaving activities or meet up activities in general are welcome.
The by-laws say a honing, stropping, and shaving demonstrations are required, but not necessarily together. Cigar smoking, BBQ and shotgun shooting are optional. There are some strange safety precautions about alcohol, but I'm not sure why.

"Odd", indeed, and that's just for starters.

Well I have no honning skills, let alone a hone (hopefully, soon).
I can demastrate how I shave and strop, not an expert yet, but getting there, fast.
BBQ. definitly!!! Cigars good idea, they will be here. Lets leave the guns at home, please. I have no problem with guns but this is going to be at a friends house and I don't want to push it, sorry. So instead how about a brew, or if it is small enough, scotch.
    Other ideas are still welcome.

Up in Rochester, we usually do honing demos and hone blades for those who need help/don't have hones, JoeD often does some resto demos (pinning, buffing wheels, MAAS, etc) and works on people's blades, we often swap blades for shaves to test out other people's razors/get feedback on honing, talk soap/cream/AS with CarrieM. We also chat about whatever other stuff might come up, often have cigars, and always have a great meal! There is also always good beer.

So I'm still hoping to be able to come down, but it's a bit of a drive. I'm not sure if I would drive down Friday night and leave Sat night or drive down Sat morning and leave Sunday morning...

Could anyone recommend somewhere in the area to stay.
