Thanked: 416Happily things have changed
I know this is hard on some of you guys and so I have been trying to figure out a way to handle all this and I am glad to say that hopefully this will take care of all the issues that had come up and I will now be able to host the convention as originally planed. so that's right everyone the conventions back on and not only that but it will be bigger and better than ever.
we will have
A separate vendors room and don't forget vendors all tables are free!
a movie room with DVD on how razors are made and some movies like Sweeney Todd!
We are also setting up an outside work area to show demos like making scales, removing rust and pinning.
the food will be great as always and we hope you will come on out even after all the mix-ups. Anyone who needs maps, an itinerary, or more info contact me at [email protected]
Look forward to seeing you all their

Is it going to be webcast?

It's time for me to start planning too. It looks like I will be giving two, or three, talks/demonstrations. I'm wondering, what would you guys like to see? That is, unless you want a dissertation on the implications of martempering on hypereutectiod laminates... I could use some ideas.
I look forward to meeting you guys.

Thanked: 102Razorcon
Gentlemen:
I am counting the days until RAZORCON! I really need a vacation and am looking forward to spending a few days in Ashville. My cousin who lives nearby is riding his Harley down to spend one day with me and I plan to travel around and photo locations where my favorite movie, "Thunder Road" was filmed.
Then there is the RAZORCON. It will be great to meet folks from here at SRP and learn from the pros. Although I have shaved with a straight for many years I have learned so much from this forum. I wish I had the information available here when I started out over 30 years ago.
I am particularly interested in honing and stropping demonstrations. I am one of those people who belive in the basics. I hope to see many of the exoitc stones that i have never seen in person.
Can't wait to throw my suitcase, about ten razors I want to sell and a bottle of Knob Creek in the trunk and get on the road again.
See you there
dewayne
PS - when are the locations going to be posted so I can get my maps together?
