    Lightbulb Events Calendar

    Hi guys,

I was thinking that it may be time to give the calendar another chance. Could somebody who's organizing an upcoming meeting put an event in the calendar?
I'm thinking in addition to the obvious dates/location, a link to the forum thread in there would be useful.
The calendar is helpful so that others can subscribe to it and it can send reminders. I'm sure we can figure out what's the best way of doing this so feel free to experiment and post what you think. I'm going to sticky this thread for a while.

The Kenosha WI meet on April 23rd has been added!

(to anyone adding to the Calendar: I already have the tab colors for "add events" on my bug fix list ~ no need to report it. )

I made the link clickable - looks like the editor may not be parsing the urls and converting them into clickable links by default.

That's easy to fix, hopefully there'll be more meetings posted up there.

I've just gone through the meetups forum and posted upcoming events. I'm guessing that many of these are more or less annual; would it be worth the time to go backwards and post things so people can look at, say, last August to know that something's likely to happen again next August?

I think that only a small minority of SRP members check the calendar or meetup forum; I'm just thinking of ways to get more people face to face. My sig file is a start.
"These aren't the droids you're looking for." "These aren't the droids we're looking for." "He can go about his business." "You can go about your business."

I cannot believe that i missed posting on the calendar until 1 day before the start of the event.

Can SRP members subscribe to updates in the calendar ?
