Yes, Colin will have to eat his words about the nice razor shot lol. I thought I would add the one with SRP logo on his shirt.

It was a good meet! Once I got home (why all the whining about traffic?...just go east, not west...no probs at all!) I found several razors that just need the attention of flush cutters and some repair/reno/replace on the scales.

I tried that Autosol metal polish that I picked up at Lee Valley Sat. morning and it works wonders! It won't remove pits, but I think it gets down into the pits and removes the rust, so it doesn't keep working. Once I buy the flush cutters, most of those razors will probably be fine with just the autosol, maybe some light sanding.

I've got one of my pair of Hamburg Rings in the tumbler and marked my calender so I remember to check it in two weeks. I found a 13" x 3/4" dowel that I think is solid bamboo, so if I don't rescale the HRs in their original (blaah, white) scales, I should be able to get two pairs of bamboo for them from the dowel.

And who was it gave me the red swirl (not really pink enough to be "Pepto-Bismol") scales? Dllandry? Anyway, I've found the razor I want to use them with. No info on it at all except a picture of a sailing ship on the tang and the name "Reliance".

And no, Joe, I haven't forgotten you. I'm still noodling some designs for custom bolsters. Maybe a variation/simplification of the Kimball family crest, or the Leacock crest, or maybe the bird skull from my avatar on -that-other-forum- (Somehow a bolster depicting my "constipated toad" avatar on this forum just doesn't cut it)

Just got interrupted for over an hour...so I've completely lost my chain of thought. So I'll stop now and save you all from my rambling incoherencies.

uhhh... different generation, different Bubbles. 'back in the day' "Bubbles" was the name of a stripper (excuse me, I mean "exotic dancer") who used balloons (ergo 'bubbles') in her act.
