Thread: Jackson, Michigan Get Together

I am just testing the waters here so no definite plans yet, but was wondering if there are enough people in the area to have a get together. I have a local coffee shop that will let us use the meeting room for an afternoon. I was thinking about a Saturday late August or September or later if it works better.

Anyone interested?

I realize that the date is up in the air, but a Saturday in September works a whole lot better for me. Perhaps some Windsor/Amherstburg-based SRP members would also be interested?

The more the merrier. That is why I am just kind of trying to see who can come and when. This is my first time planning such an event and am going to try to accommodate the majority of people in the time frame.

I'd be interested. It's a little over a hundred miles for me (if I read my map correctly). September/October, when the weather is nicer, would be nice.

Thanks for the list of people to contact Brad. I will get a message out on Tuesday when i have an actually keyboard in front of me. I am on my phone right now and have fat thumbs only when i text for some reason.

for our Denver meet, one of the mods is sending a statewide mass PM. That's something they, in their capes and leotards, have the power to do. You might be able to do the same for your Michigan members. Good luck with it!

cmon razor, just have to get it honed so I can get started.

Okay gentlemen, the date has been set for September 29th from 11:00AM to 5:00 PM at the Jackson Coffee Company. It will be at the downtown store. Parking is going to be behind the store on W. Cortland St. between S. Mechanic St. and Francis St.

The owner is okay with us having straight razors in his facility and just asks that we keep them concealed until we are in the conference room. The room seats 12 has a nice big table and says it has a lot of standing room, but I think that we can take over more of the shop without a problem if need be.

And yes, the only antique store in town is right down the street but I will have it all scouted out the day before
