    Default The Great Shave 2012-Chicago

    Howdy,

    This is a the second even put on by the Merz/Smallflower folks in Chicago and it is looking to be even better than the first. The date is 10/24/12. If you get the chance, you will not want to miss this event!!

    Mantic59, Geo Shave the Nation will be speaking there in addition to me.

    Really looking forward to seeing everyone again this year!!

    Wow! This is awesome! I just booked a business trip for next week and to my surprise I find this thread. I'll be there for sure.

    Alas, my over eagerness to attend blinded me to the date...I'll be there next week and not October. There's still hope, I'll just have to try and plan a return trip.

    I'm just going through the meetup forum and putting things on the SRP calendar. Since this is an external, commercial event, can it be up on our calendar? Hmm...

    Can. Not really a commercial event in my mind. Open to all forums like any other get together, only with more stuff. They are charging admission merely to try to cover expenses. There is food, drink, manufacturing reps as well as getting to see all the other wet shaving folks and some great discussions from guys like Mantic 59 and Geo.

    Looking forward to seeing everybody in Chicago again this year.

    This was a total blast last year and very helpful to new as well as seasoned wet shavers. Personally, I did my first straight razor shave after this event. This is truly great for the entire wet shaving community.

    I wish it wasn't on a Wednesday, but maybe some of the SRP folks can head to the Green Mill afterwards for drinks...

    Same here. If it weren't on a Wednesday, I'd be there. My train schedule in and out of the city is a little unforgiving.
