Thanked: 20Hey all! I'm up north of gaithersburg, but I could travel anywhere within reasonable distance to the beltway! Time may be difficult but I would love to talk razors with folks other than my wife! She simply doesn't find them that interesting! I also would like a chance to have someone look at a couple of my first attempts at honing and offer any advice!

Cool! Well hopefully at some point, with this thread keeping some traffic, someone will volunteer and host us It definitely can't be me though lol.
I just want to have some folks look at my old Sheffield razor, see my first honing in person and maybe even tighten the pin on my razor. If not, I'm going to pay someone from Member Services to completely restore and get custom scales.Last edited by dorknight; 11-30-2012 at 07:30 PM.

Thanked: 2209Your best bet is for you to set a date & location that works for you. Then start a thread like this one and then send out the Pm's and emails. It is best to start with a small group and be sure to post a lot of pics. It helps build interest for the next Get Together.
Good luck,Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin

Yeah that all makes sense. But I cannot host one. No space or resources. Plus I rather it be someone that has been doing it longer and has been a member on the site longer, who most likely knows more people.

Thanked: 20Does anyone in our area have a decent place for a meetup? Sometime late in January may work to let everyone get through end of the year family obligations! My home cannot fit people but I may be able to use my place of business. I just kinda prefer not to! (Also it is way over near the Redskin's stadium...)

Any idea of how many people might show up for this if it is Montgomery County? I have no idea if we are talking about 4 enthusiasts or 40.
