Thanked: 2209Another new guy in Minnesota, 2nd visit
One of our SRP guys stopped over this evening. Minnebrew ( Robert O'Brian) brought over his razor and a new set of scales. We took off the old scales, installed the new ones, then did a bit of honing on his razor. Along the way he practiced his stropping. He was here last summer when we cleaned up the razor a bit on the buffing machine. He now has time to start in with the straight razor so he is now setup & ready to go. Here are a few pics........

Shaved well! One question is that although the blade has been oiled it seems to have green water spotting that occurred after i finished shaving. I oiled it and that kinda got rid of the green coloring but you can see the spots if you hold the blade at an angle. Polishing compound maybe?

Thanked: 2209Could be some left over Never-Dull that I used on the razor yesterday but thats just a guess. But, I have never seen the color green except from chrome oxide.
Did you happen to try the paddle strop?Randolph Tuttle, a SRP Mentor for residents of Minnesota & western Wisconsin
