Head shavers - how long (shower + 3 pass)
I was hoping to see where everyone else stands. It often takes me about an hour and a half to shower and do a full 3 pass str8 shave on my full face and head. How about anyone else? Is this typical or just me? On a really bad shave it has taken close to two hours but I'm guessing this might be because I have only been having str8 for about 4 months.
Just as as a side note it seems as if the ATG pass takes me the longest.A fool flaunts what wisdom he thinks he has, while a wise man will show that he is wise silently.

Thanked: 375Takes me about an 45 mm. To hour to shower (5 min.),.The rest of the time is getting all my gear out, shave my head with a DE, shave my beard with a straight 2 passes 3rd on the neck and then clean up everything. My wife says I'm in the bathroom longer than her, I beg to differ though

Thanked: 1587A two-pass face shave plus a single front to back pass head shave takes me around 10 minutes from woe to go. No showers are involved in that. When it comes to showering I am a < 3 minutes man (that's what she said) as we try to conserve water (we are on tank water).
Now before you scoff and say "pffft! Single pass head shave!" I've found that if I do that every day my head is acceptably smooth without all the bother of against the grain head passes.

Takes me 45 to 60 minutes, I do four passes with a straight, two with the grain and two against the grain. I just like my head to be super smooth.

I probably spend 15 minutes on a two pass shave. I stopped using straights for my head though, it's too hard on them. Now I use a DE or injector for head shaving.
It takes time to get there. When I first started out I was spending 30 minutes minimum on a face shave.

About 15 minutes for 3 passes on the face and a one pass head shave, no shower.

It does take time to get there. I don't head shave, but I remember taking 90 minutes for a SR face shave. Even now, 25 minutes is good time for me to go from picking things up to putting them away on a 3-pass face shave.
Keep your pivot dry!

It depends really.
If I wanna do a quick one, it takes about 20 minutes from the start of the shower to finished shaving.
That means two passes on both the head and the face.
I tend to use a Wtg/Xtg as my first pass and then a opposite Xtg/Atg as my second. That seem to get me slick as a bowling-ball
If I wanna fiddle around and take my time with it I suppose about 30-45 minutes from start till finish.Bjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Thanked: 0I'm just know trying to learn about SR shaving. I'm still using disposables for now. I also shave my head. Does anyone have any good videos on shaving your head with a SR? I've looked on Youtube, but all I can find is barber shop videos.
Thanks in advance.
