i've just started shaving my head anyone uses a kamasori to get the job done

I use one of several of my kamisori, depending on my mood. I have no problem with any of them. I'd say the biggest issue might be keeping the middle of the blade on your head for the pass where you can't see what's happening, but you can rock it back and forth to find the middle. Those corners can nick you, but it's pretty rare.
