Been using the Nivea after shave balm it works OK.
Just curious to see what others have good results with.

Used to use the Nivea balm for years. Since I work outside and in a dirty environment I found it was like a dirt attractant some times. So now I use it only if I shave on a day off. For my work day shaves I only use Thayer witch hazel as a finisher. Cooling and it doesn't hang around and make you greasy. If I am going out with the wife for date night I will normally match aftershave to cream/soap scent. Needless to say that gets pricey.

During the summer, I only use an alum block, let dry and then rinse after an hour or so.

I use leftover lather... I Head Shave first then Face/Neck so, when I am prepping my second pass, I cover my head with the leftover lather and keep it on until I rinse it off in the shower. I never could get into the Shower First thing so I always shave completely then shower and the leftover lather has all the properties I need for Post Shave.

Unrefined shea butter; I have been using it for over 15 years, or more. Fantastic moisturizer for your skin and it greatly repels water.

The Proraso white after shave balm, tea leaves and grass. Or just a block of ice.

Just the Gillette Aristocrat, a good DE blade and water.

I don't shave my head, but after every shave regardless of cologne and balm I always use Geo F Trumper's skin food first before anything else. I really like it and would recommend that you give it a try.
