Default Lipshaw Mictrotome strop with 4 interchangeable panels, Neil Miller, SRD, linen.

Here we have a nice setup such as I use in my workshop for progressively stropping razors off the hones.
I also have one at home which I use quite frequently on my rotation.

An industrial, heavy-duty unit, the Lipshaw Microtome strop hearkens back to the day when microtomes were like a straight razor with one blade face completely flat in order to thinly slice tissue for microscopic study.
Newer versions of microtomes were mechanical, yet had removable blades which could be fitted with a handle in order to strop them on these heavy beasts as well.
A great strop for straight razors, the panels can be changed with the push of a button and easily flipped to a new surface with the pull and push of a lever. The strops lightly stretch on nice, thick felt for a great stropping sensation. All steel construction and industrial silver coating with a nice cover to protect the strops from dust, etc. Light dings and scratches, etc. Consummate with it's age.

This one is being sold with 4 panels. All in excellent as-new shape.

A patterned cowhide pre-strop from the late Neil Miller which is really zippy and great for use before leather and even fabric.

A linen fabric panel of real fire-hose. The real deal for daily stropping before leather

A VERY heavy oiled black Bridle panel from Neil Miller. He warned me how heavy the draw is, yet I use one like it directly off the hones, especially on the thick, heavy wedges.

And lastly a Premium IV bridle panel from SRD. Excellent for daily use after either pre-strops and/or after the heavy draw strop. Nice, light, and smooth.

Great tool. I enjoy using them, yet seem to have too many!
    Time to pass some on.

This thing and it's strops weigh around 9 pounds. I will send in CONUS free, but otherwise, whatever it costs to send wherever will be paid for by the buyer.
In that case, the buyer pays, I ship, buyer pays for final shipping costs.

That is so cool and certainly takes any subjectivity out of the tensioning of a hanging strop....im going to have to think about this one hard...

I cannot amend the original ad, but I am including a new Roo strop panel from SRD which has been modified to fit this Lipshaw strop.
Smooth, slick draw. A fine finish-stropping component to complement this setup.
So there are 5 strops included. Same price.
