Gabriel's 3" Roo Strop
Well, finally i got some spare time to catch up with my Roo Strop waitlist and in fact i had chance to make one spare, this is the First time i post one here in the B/S/T forum, up until now the strops have been sold in the community by recommendation from other members. Many folks in the forum have been super kind with me and entered the waitlist even knowing that the wait could be sometimes more than 2 months.
What you will get is a 100% Costa Rican artisan (me) handmade 3” wide veg. tanned authentic Kangaroo leather strop (“stroppable” length is about 19 inch), witch chocolate handles made of heavy veg. Tanned cow leather (both great quality leathers). Handles were treated to be comfortable in the hand; metal parts are chromed silver color, very well built. Second stropping component is cotton webbing with beautiful red stripes that add elegance and a vintage look to the already nice looking colors selection. This is a very resistant and effective webbing
If you want some background about my roo strops, you can go to the forum and do a search or go take a look of this couple of links, there are other posts about horse and cow strops, but these two talk about my roo strops… some of the folks that have purchased from me have been really kind on providing feedback for you to know what you can expect. Nevertheless since not machine made, each one is unique!

Kangaroo leather in this thickness and treatment (and with the right dressing) is a really good option for stropping straight razors, specially curved/smiling blades, this leather is one of the toughest and most resilient you can find and the strop will adapt a bit to the shape of the edge… the drag is really nice, I don’t over dress my strops, but gently prepare them for use with Horse Oil, which enhances the resistance and flexibility without increasing the draw like crazy, for me, honestly it has the right draw.
Shipping price, to be covered by the buyer, is for fully tracked and really fast EMS service, to the US it would be $21; please ask me for pricing if you live in a different country. (***If you interested in one of my razors, this box can easily fit one or two razors with the same shipping price, and i would give you a nice discount on the razors your add***)
Strop Price: 150$

Every time I use my Roo I thank the strop Gods. I've yet to use one of my other strops since it arrived and feel no guilt for it.

My favorite as well. A soft, velvety draw, that contours a smiling blade so well.
