Thread: S.R. Droescher Blue Thuringian with original box and slurry stone

Wanted to try one of these well-regarded hones — Escher-quarried hones labeled exclusively for distribution and sale in the U.S. by Sevrin R. Droescher — but since acquiring an SG20k, my SRD thuri sees little if any use. If you have ever wanted to give yourself the gift of Thuringian edges for life, then be sure to check out this lovely, 100+ year-old hone.

And, if you find that a Thuringian edge does not quite meet the approval of your face, simply pass the hone along to someone else and easily recoup your investment. There are no more Eschers and Droeschers than what's already been mined, so prices have been steady or rising ever since I started into wet shaving in 2012.

Box and labels are in excellent condition. Stone has a few small chips near edges (see pics) that do not affect honing, and the rubber has uneven wear. While the hone is mostly flat on the one side, the opposite one exhibits some dishing (picture of side showing deep scratches).

German slate hones have all been quarried, so secure yourself a piece of shaving history while you can as price will only increase from here fellas.
