It makes razor blade became silver mirror finish. It should be finest class Japanese natural sharpening stone. It is condensed heavy stone in that size, and kiita with Nashiji spots all over the sharpening surface. The perpendicular line is no problem for sharpening performance. The maruka stamp is steel visible especially when the stone is whet. Please note that the sharpened impressions are my subjectivity. Unfortunately, in recent years, my hands and eyes have suddenly become uncertain, so I will gradually give up my long-standing collection.
