Sensitive skin is not a problem with straight shaving, it's technique or more likely that your razors weren't shave ready, especially if you tried to hone them yourself.

I know someone with lot's more experience than me will post soon.

When I first started I dreaded shaving and found it terrifying but now I love it and wouldn't shave any other way.

I really think you should try again but use a razor that was honed by someone who knows what they're doing and let some of the guys here take you by the hand and help you.

I promise you will really enjoy straight shaving when you get the hang of it and there are plenty of shaving soaps especially made for sensitive skin.
thanks but i have already made my mind years ago. I bought a top of the line safety razor and still have the same issue with bleeding. I went back to electric razors. My dermatologist said i had a sensitive skin. At 65, i do not believe i will attempt another experience.

I am getting rid of my gear since it is taking space.
