Link to all Photos can be found here - https://photos.app.goo.gl/yZ6HwguTgKjN3Gug6, please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Would also consider trades / partial trades for a Karasu JNAT / KOMA Nagura / Wade and Butcher FBU or other Chopper
• $125 - Thuriginan / Escher like Dark Slate – Finisher: This stone is a mystery slate and its story is that was a war prize and shipped back state side after WWII. Origins are unknown but it feels like a hard slate to me and is both dense and fine. Has an interesting graining to its surface. Lapped flat and ready to use. A capable finisher. 8x2x3/4 /655grams
• $110 – Original Xtra Fine Blue / metallic Lune – Finisher: Super cool piece of shaving history. In the right light you may still be able to make out the original extra-fine stamp. This is the most capable barbers hone sized stone I have ever met and is great for razor touchups. It leaves a fantastically sharp edge, recommend finishing with Glycerin. Lapped flat and ready to use. 5x2.5x.5 /284grams
• $225 Narutaki Best Razor Hone / JNAT – Finisher: On the softer side of hard and has a creamy slurry. Has a nice yellow color when wet and red blushing and goma, with a nice Kawa on back. Overall a nice finisher with a creamy slurry and silky honing feel, a joy to hone on. Hard to let this one go, but I am only keeping a few examples of JNATs. Lapped flat and ready to use. 6x3.25/.75 /603g
• $115 La Grosse Jaune Coticule Selected / Slurry Stone – Ardennes – Pre Finisher / Finisher – A Selected example of a LGJ Coticule as identified by the mine. It is hard and dense and does not auto slurry. It will take a razor from bevel on slurry to a near finish. It may be a capable finisher in the right hands; I just cannot figure this vein out. This stone has seen limited use and still has the feint outline of the AC Stamp. A versatile Coti that is looking for more capable hands than mine. Lapped flat and ready to use. 6x2x3/4 / 515 Grams
• $115 Synthetic Coti w. Box – Finisher – Here is what I believe and have been told is a Synthetic Coti. It was always a mystery to me as it has a pronounced manganese line in the stone. From reading these are considered some of the finer finishing stones. Have not played around with this one much, as I want all natural stones in my progression. Lapped flat and ready to use. 7x2x3/4 / 337 Grams
• $65 Hindostan - Mid Grit: Here is what I believe is a Hindostan. Just cleaned of oil and residue. Have not used and could use a fresh lapping – 8x2x3/4 / 425Grams
