A number of years ago, when the market was much more active, I sold a mint Escher for $600 to an avid collector.
Since the above listed hone did not sell then I would conclude the market value is less.

About 7 or 8 years ago they were on eBay listed for $1000 plus. Not sure what price or if they sold.

Main determinant is the sizeof the stone. Next is, luck, sometimes people are looking for one and are willing to pay.
Of course label on the stone adds to it as well.

I'm not an appraiser or an expert on stones but here is something to consider. The nitty gritty is that what they are worth is what the market will bear. Or, more accurately what a consumer is willing to pay. I see stones and razors on fleaBay listed for prices that have obviously come from a collectors book or online pricing guide. Occasionally I will watch them to see if they actually sell for that price. Sometimes they do. Most of the time they languish.
Once upon a time I needed money pretty desperately and decided I was going to sell one of my guitars. I asked a friend who bought and sold lots of them if he thought the price I had in mind was reasonable. I'll never forget what he said which was that everything has 2 prices: the price that it is worth in a list and the price that will make a sale happen. Sure, you can get the listed value... maybe... if you are willing to wait for someone to come along that is willing to pay for it but if you really need the money right away you will have to ask the other price.
Two factors are key: 1)how badly the buyer wants it and 2)how badly the seller needs the money. Everything else is academic.

Escher was sold for $600. That was the lowest I was willing to go.
