But the true test is how does the shave test feel compared to off the 8k or Coticule?

Shave test failed. It shaved but not very sharp or smooth. put the razor down after 1 pass. Scratch pattern from the scope show smoother than the 4k but rougher than the 8k. Whatever that means. Got hht after the strop though 100 laps. Its a dog. 2nd one.

Go with the nainwa 12 k I think it's a few bucks more and it's a fantastic stone

I have the chosera 10, naniwa12 a jnat finisher and a coti/bbw combo. And I use film also. I didn't get good results from the first 1, so I got another one and it was a dog like the first one.
