How are you comparing the stria from the different stones, Side by side?

As said visual stria width is not a definitive test/result as to polishing of the edge. Also grinding on a diamond plate for an hour with two stones may have trashed your plates. These can be very hard stones and if the plates are trashed, you may not have any effect in finishing the stone. Your stone may still be unfinished.

Hard Arks make great finishing stones for hard naturals.

Put some steel to the diamond plate and see if it is cutting.

For all but the softest Natural stones use loose Silicone Carbide, don’t waste your diamond plates. It only takes a minute to trash a diamond plate.
