I would like to buy this hone.Do you think worth it? The seller claims that is charnley forest. What do you think?

It's a Llyn Idwal, the Grecian type. Nice little stone, but usually not a finisher like a CF, more of a prefinisher.

I agree with Piet however even some of them can be finishers.

BTW it is considered inappropriate here to be asking questions about live auction items.

I don't think that is inappropriate.Nobody knows about specific auction.I don't mention anything about.Just post some pictures and ask for opinion.

BTW thanks to all who had the politeness to answer my question.

I have one LI and on water it was more as pre-finisher stone profile but with honing oil is more like finisher.

And if no ebay link is posted, why not to ask...

I have few LI and they are good stones.

No problems with the op's request. Nothing was mentioned about any auction. Just a picture and the fact it's for sale.
