    Default behr-manning arkansas hb6

    Hi guys, i just bought this behr-manning arkansas hb6 at the flea market, anyone have infos and knows the grit of that stone? Where would it fit in my current honing process.
    is seems to be really fine but i cant really tell. It looks as fine as my naniwa 12k. It says 1956 on the box. I dont find too much info on google.

    Here some pics.

    Thats a translucent Arkansas stone, as far as grit Arkansas stone are rated by Specific gravity, that said this stone prepped properly would be a finishing stone.

    Hi Mmmike;
    The HB6 Norton is not as fine as the Nani 12K or vintage translucent.. I use my HB6 with oil on certain kitchen knives. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful country up there.
