Default Dabbling in the honing world

I recently purchased a vintage Swaty barber hone and just had to try it. Well, verdicts are in and I love it. This thing puts a very keen edge on my Dovo with only 4-5 strokes. Then hit the leather about 50 laps and POW! I see why barbers used these things, should be able to maintain a great edge for a long time.

Good for you ! Did you use anything like water or lather ? Just dry ? I have a few barbers hones but have yet to try them 1 out.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I used lather for my first try. Gave me an excuse to whip some up.
