    Default King 250/1000 Stone

    Hello,
Today we stopped in a Chinese supermarket, small family run store. I was looking for cereal bowls that I like, my other bowls were worn out. My SRP Trained Eagle Eyes, spotted a small box on the shelf. Inside was a 250/1000 King stone. It had a corner damage from someone dropping it, I assume. He gave it to me for $15.00. It is actually bigger than it looks. I am going to use it for knives & put it in my travel bag.

    Thanks for looking,
    Hirlau

It looks like a cool necklace. Hone on a rope ? I have one and it works great for fixing chips and frowns and sets all my bevels. Wish mine was that cheap :<0) Good eye.

They also have a box full of Carborundums that are about 3x8x2 & weigh a ton each, for $6.00 a piece

I looked at them closely & though that they would be good for putting the edge on a garden shovel.

I might go by next month & get one,,,just in case I move from my condo & need a garden shovel.

Hirlau FYI i have actually been looking at garden spades and one company i honestly can't remember which one was saying that stainless steel cant be sharpened so they advice you to buy a carbon steel spade.

i call bullshit, no proper gardener in their right mind would buy a carbon steel spade

can't escape the false sale patter anywhere

What's with the "rope" and that blue thing?

I love the prices in Chinese stores, many times I've had to ask - Is this price right? It's so cheap it feel like stealing!

It's a secret Chinese weapon, called a Fuu Fuu; developed during the Wing Dynasty.

The King 1K stone is an excellent stone I've always liked using King stones, and the chip is so near the end it won't make any difference to the use of the stone, but if you choose to you could with some very low grits knock it back if you wanted.
