Thanked: 4827It is very silky. A couple nights ago I took my Witte 5/8 and went 1K bevel set then 4K and 60 laps on the new rock and got a fantastic shave. It won't be a hone anyone recognizes as I found a vein of it while hunting. My garden is full of rocks that didn't become hones. This one on the other had is doing well. I am going to hike back out this weekend and try and get some more pieces out of the face.

Thanked: 3227On the bright side if nobody comes up with a positive ID you should get to name it. My suggestion would be "spotted dick" for a name. On a serious note, looks like you have come upon something interesting.
