    Default Barbers hone

Should you always wet a barbers hone before using it? The instructions on my Ezy Edge box don't say to.

There's all kinds of them, dry, water or oil.
I can't see how water would ruin it, go ahead and try what's best for your razor!

    Just check that it's flat!

A lot of barber hones recommend lather. Dry, wet, or lather will not hurt the hone BUT don't use oil unless it specifically calls out for it.

I have a Swaty, hardly affected by a dmt & water. Edlis special seems softer, can get a slurry with water and dmt. Everkeen is very soft, lots of slurry.
    Answer? Depends which one.
