Thread: King 1k hone

Never met a 1k that doesn't work --- YET

Some work better, some work differently, but they all have set the bevel..

In many of my vids I did a few years back I specifically used the King 1k for a few reasons .

1. Cheap
2. Locally Available at many different places
3. It is a gentle smooth cutter

That thread that was linked above, gives a ton of opinions on the ones I have used,, I tend to collect 1k's like others collect Finishers, I have always felt the edge starts at the bevel so I am always on the search for a better one.. So far the Chosera 1k is the best I have found.. Mine is below 1/2 thickness now been using it on most every razor I hone..

If you hone for money or hone many razors buy the Chosera... But I would not feel handicapped in the least with a King 1k for honing my own razors...
