    Default Argh!! Chipped my 8k!!

Oh the drama. It doesn't seems to effect the honing or edge, but I didn't didn't think that was supposed to happen with an 8k naniwa. I was trying to do hunting gymnastics on the point when this occurred. I don't think that I soak the stone for too long what could that be the culprit??
I'll upload a pic when at the laptop.

I'm pretty ticked about this... I mean it will eventually lap out, but its going to take *a* *lot* of razors to get there.

Yea, have to admit I've done that too. Nothing a DMT 325 and some lapping won't cure.

I'm not going to worry about it, though, I am annoyed. It's not interfering with honing so... It would take a whole lot of lapping, IMO. I'd just be wasting perfectly good stone just to get rid of a chip that would eventually removed over the coarse of the stone's life. I lap the stones after each razor.

    Kind Regards,

    Simon
