good save there. I hate the diagonal fractures that leave you with nothing but pointy rocks.

If this works out I'll find a big chunk of itAttachment 165373
Touched up a razor that needed a little attention on the Peach Bottom Slate. The shave went better than in it's previous state, so it looks promising.
I wonder if any of us had really thought about how much time it takes to makes a hone before we started rockhounding. I know I had not really given it too much thought. It is pretty time consuming though. I do like all the different colors and patterns I see in this thread though. Metamorphic rock is pretty amazing stuff.
I need to run by the pawn shop after work, found a hand held diamond saw for 40 bucks, I think its going to make life much easier
LMAO I am just trying to get my numbers together to decide on a new wet saw. At present my wet saw is only capable of a 2 1/4" cut, and I'd really like to be able to do 3". The only way to get there is to go bigger. Unfortunately the 12" saws are insane in price. I will have to settle for a 10" or be content to cut at the current width. There is not a pawn or second hand shop within 12 hours of travel. Buying second hand is tough for me due to my location.
