Looks pretty. Now for the million dollar question.... How does it hone?
Loupe and razors are at the barber shop....tomorrow Ill let ya know....may hone like mud.
I like what you've done, sounds fun! Cant wait to see how it works.
I take that back....brought my cigar box home....no loupe but info Inc soonish
Wow - this has been a great thread...learned a lot, thanks!
Ummm...huge improvement with 25 laps...used an Arkansas stone prior to this one...note...I do not have a strop at home...it makes a thick chocolate milk looking slurry easily.
Added a pic of the slurry on the kitchen counter wife would kill me Haha
It tugged before I honed it on this hone..enough it was uncomfortable...and slid through arm hair easily after the 25 laps...ill shave tomorrow. :-)
Soon to be your stone Rez~
You can really see the layers of glitter on the right side of the stone in the pic
Or not...had a lot of fracture lines and finally bit the dust on me....ill get some more though Rez....only an hour or so wasted lol
It's all about the hunt. It's kind of like a gambling addict. The good one is in this nest bluff I just know it. I get pretty excited about rock hound stuff too. The last thread about it didn't seem like anyone else was excited about it at all, suddenly I have company in my quirky hobby.
