    I would think sandstone could be a bevelsetter although what I found over there was course even for bevel setters. besides, the sample of sand stone I did split had a realy loose matrix and seemed a bit crappy to me so I didn't take it with me.

    @ Doorsch, Lake Memphremagog is a bit far from me as well :P

    @Iceni, thanks for the advice but so far I've managed to make a 1/2 inch cut in one half of the stone, I'm going to make this cut continuous around the stone and then submerge it in water and freeze it. if that doesn't do anything I'm just going to try to lone an angle grinder from someone. by the way, how are your charnly forest hones comming along?
