Thanked: 4830before there was diamond and carbide blades rock was cut using a wheel that would pick up sand and the sand would cut the stone. I have read that in text but never seen any diagrams to show it. Perhaps that is part of the history channel set up also. I would really like to tour Ardenes and have a chance to get a close look at their old tools.

Thanked: 4830That would be so cool, but I am working. I need to save my holidays for the spring as two of my daughters are graduating from university. I do work an unusual shift and can travel on my days off.
