What's funny is people think these high grits will equal a better shave. It's so not about the finisher. People hone, get a bad shave, then take and get a new finisher. Learn to use your 1 and 3/4/5k first. Shave off the 1 k. Shave off your 3-5. Live. Learn. Leave the 80k alone.

Hahaha. Yup. IF you had read my original post you would have seen that I attributed this high grit rating to my love of the stone and made the grit assessment "tongue in cheek" knowing that nobody but the famous gssixgun could make such a well documented claim. Yes that too was sarcasm. In the end I have no idea as your guess is as good as mine. Maybe it's 4000 grit. It don't matter. It is a great rock and that, my boy, is ALL that matters.
