Chosera 5K Naniwa SS 5K
Hi just want some info regarding the Chosera 5K, I've just upgraded two of my hones I've picked up a Chosera 1K and a 5K my normal progression being a Naniwa Super stones in this order 1K,5K,8K,12K pasted bench strop linen suede and cordovan, so will I notice much difference between my Super stone 5K and the Chosera? Reason I ask I don't see a great deal of info on the 5K.

The two 5K's will do basically the same thing. The Chosera is a bit faster and is a bit harder. Other than that, they will fill the same gap between your 1 and 8K Naniwa SS's

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

I have the Chosera 5000k and although I don't have the naniwa super stone 5000k, I do have the 220, 400, 1000 and 3000k and the main difference is the chosera is a hard stone, faster stone than the super stone series, and it leaves a very shiny finish. it barely dishes, and is grins metal very fast. But maybe you might like the softer feeling of the SS, creating slurry and muddy. For straight razor I'll go for the Naniwa super stone, for knives and tools I'll take the Choseras.
